Shannon Noble

Director of Photography

Born in Hollywood, Shannon Noble has a very eclectic background in music, film, studio arts, and psychology. As a child he engaged in tap dancing, clarinet, piano, and guitar. He studied photography and film at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Ca. Received a Bachelor of Fine Arts (studio art, art history, and biological sciences) from the California State University at Los Angeles; a Master of Fine Arts from Otis Art Institute of Parsons School of Design; and more recently a Master of Art in Psychology (Community, Family, and Child Studies) from Antioch University, Los Angeles. He worked as a digital visual effects and post production artist for twenty years on multiple film and tv productions such as Spiderman, Star Trek, X-Men, Starship Troopers, and Battlestar Galactica for a number of film studios including Sony Pictures, New Line Cinema, Paramount Studios, and more. Additionally he has worked with community based arts collaboratives including the Foundation for Art Resources (Los Angeles), the sound art and modern electronic music collective Ultra-red (for which he designed computer software for real-time interactive visual performance), and had the opportunity to play a part in performance artist Rachel Rosenthal’s landmark show “The Others” in which the stage was shared with forty-two animals ranging from goats and snakes to monkeys; all animals had a printed bio and were treated as equals. 

As an artist Shannon is continuously working on numerous photo, video, music, and multi-media arts projects. As a parent he is ceaselessly engaged with his daughter’s childhood development. This summer, 2021, is her sixth at Monarch Arts Education.
